National Director – Hospital & Animal Health Sales

Job Summary

In this role, the National Director – Hospital & Animal Health Sales is responsible for achieving sales targets, driving customer delight, and managing all buying group, chain account, and government contracts. The role will lead initiatives for the sales and marketing functions while driving integration with customer service, business development and the regulatory teams with a focus on growing sales. The National Director will be a key contributor to sourcing new opportunities and partnerships within the Canadian Hospital and Animal Health market and is a key member of Teligent’s Canadian Commercial Operations.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Key contact for Canadian hospital, institutional, animal health and specialty markets
  • Responsible for growing sales with HealthPro, Medbuy, GACOQ, GACEQ, and Sigmasante
  • Manage an external sales force for the promotion of Animal Health products, set targets and sales incentives.
  • Manage Sports rehab Brokerage to drive Euflexxa sales
  • Seek out new sales opportunities including public, private, and government sectors
  • Find outlets to sell new products, upcoming launches and long stock inventory
  • Approve and sign all price submissions related to contracts
  • Lead and motivate the Business Development Manager’s, build quarterly action plans, performance and development planning
  • Identify and address contract compliance with all contracts
  • Create budgets, approve forecasts, demand planning, sales quotas, commissions and OPEX
  • Analyze COG’s vs current market pricing for hospital and animal health
  • Liaise and drive behaviors with customer service and wholesalers to maintain strong levels of supply
  • Form and manage an advisory board for Hospital and Animal Health
  • Organize and execute trade shows, public events, and communication
  • Lead marketing efforts to drive Teligent awareness
  • Collect and act on competitive information to drive business opportunities
  • Key account priorities
  • Prepare and complete business updates and quarterly reviews with customer focused presentations
  • Participate in professional association committees as necessary
  • Flexibility and comfort with change is expected as responsibilities will fluctuate and vary over time
  • Requires use of Systems Applications Products audit tools
  • Frequent, open, clear, and effective communication, verbally and written, with peers is essential and expected
  • Other duties as requested

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience selling in the Canadian hospital and institutional markets
  • Well versed in RFP management and execution
  • Ability to interpret market dynamics, create sales plans, and execute accordingly
  • Self-starter who embraces change
  • Strong work ethic and problem-solving ability
  • Dynamic oral and written communication
  • Ability to manipulate, analyze, and interpret sales data
  • High learning ability, agility, prompt follow up, and attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s Degree from leading Canadian University
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • English and French spoken and written required
